Upon receiving encouraging feedback from the community, as well as the enduring support of our project sponsor OCBC Bank, our second Community Shop, is now well on its way! The Community Shop concept was started as an initiative to give better through empowering our beneficiaries with the dignity of choice and presenting an opportunity for social interaction. The simple digital redemption process also helped us understand our beneficiaries better; as such, we're able to make better base-level decisions to serve them better.
Watch how our donors and volunteers helped us fill our shelves and hear what Mr Desmond Lee, then Minister for Social and Family Development and Second Minister for National Development and Mr Lim Biow Chuan, Member of Parliament for Mountbatten SMC had to say at the launch of our first Community Shop @ Mountbatten last year.
Similar to the Mountbatten branch, Food from the Heart's Community Shop @ Boon Lay will open its doors on 24 March 2021 and operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 9.30am - 12.30pm.
Help us raise 10,000 food items to start our Community Shop @ Boon Lay! You can show your support by dropping off food donations onsite at our food drive from 1 - 7 March at the Shop, located at Blk 176 Boon Lay Drive #01-366 S640176.
