Together as One, we raised 27,440 food items!

National Day Food Donation Drive 2024

On 17th August, we experienced the community coming together as one to help raise food for families in need. 

From 9am right till the final minute before we closed at 6pm, we saw so many corporates, individuals and deliveries stop by our Community Shop @ Boon Lay to contribute to our food drive. 

We knew that raising 28,000 food items was a lofty goal and while we did not manage to achieve that, we are happy to report that we were so, so close - Our collective efforts raised 27,440 food items! We could not have done this without your support. Whether you were an individual donor, a family or part of corporate group - we are very appreciative of you!

Our day started at 9am, with Minister Desmond Lee kicking things off with us at our Community Shop @ Boon Lay

PSC Corporation and their generous donation of 500 packs of Thai rice 

It was a family affair for the team at NNIT Singapore, who came down with multiple trolleys full of donations

 
DDM Association came bright and early with their generous donation, with more than 30 filled boxes of food items

Individual donors constantly showed up through the day, each with multiple bags to donate

Seeing our worktainers, trolleys and pallets filling up with donations was such a heart-warming sight

We are immensely grateful for the team of OCBC volunteers who joined us through the day to check, record, sort and transport the thousands of food items 

Our heartfelt gratitude to all our volunteers, without whom the day would not have been efficient and smooth
