Today, we celebrate World Food Day and reflect on the importance of ensuring food security for everyone. To commemorate this special day, we are excited to announce the winners of our inaugural World Food Day Drawing Contest, which was a part of our Clean Plate Campaign!
Clean Plate Campaign is an initiative held in participating schools, aimed at teaching students the importance of reducing food waste and providing food support to communities in need. This year, we peeked into children's imagination, asking studens from participating schools to participate in our World Food Day Drawing Contest and imagine a world where there is healthy food for everyone, and no one is left behind. Six winners and their families will be treated to a day of fun at Universal Studios Singapore!
With close to 200 entries, selecting the winners was no easy feat, but we are thrilled to share the six winning drawings!
1st Prize: Alyssa, 9, Tao Nan School
2nd Prize: Freya, 8, Cantonment Primary School
Consolation Prize: Carrie, 8, Xishan Primary School
Consolation Prize: Crystal, 12, East Spring Primary School
Consolation Prize: Jia'an, 7, Xishan Primary School
Consolation Prize: Xiaoci, 10, Haig Girls School
These drawings emulate the theme behind this year's World Food Day - Right to Foods for a Better Life and a Better Future. Highlighting the importance of ensuring everyone has access to healthy and nutritious food, and no one gets left behind. The creativity and imagination of these drawings was such a treat!
We also like to thank FairPrice Foundation for their continued support, since 2013. This year, they will be donating $1 to our charity for every clean plate achieved by students in participating schools (up to S$75,000), and are also sponsoring the prizes for our World Food Day Drawing Contest. Thank you FairPrice Foundation for helping us bring smiles to kids everywhere!
We are heartened to see such a warm response to our World Food Day Drawing Contest and we'll be back again next year for our Clean Plate Campaign!
